Based on my experience in recording games, i had 2 recording programs that high in quality, lower size and easy to set up compared with the other programs.
1. Open Broadcaster Software
2. BandicamThe question is why both of the programs that i choose?
Because both of them support external x264 codec that better in quality, lower size and easy setting for x264 codec to "ultrafast preset" that very usefull to record any local games without experience any lag.
This codec is very usefull if your PC have a low GPU card but have a high RAM or your GPU card can not support any recording programs.
1. Open Broadcaster Software is free software that you can download it from its website
"https://obsproject.com/download"To set this programs in ultrafast preset you can go to Settings --> Advanced --> Choose : Process Priority Class "High", x264 CPU Preset "Ultrafast"(When you select this option a warning message will appear, just click yes), Encoding Profile "High" see at the picture below :
as you can see at warning message that ultrafast preset is not good for streaming and CPU usage. If you want to stream just use default setting "very fast". And for CPU usage if you have high RAM is not a problem. My laptop have 8GB RAM.
2. Bandicam is purcashed software that you can download it from its website
"http://www.bandicam.com/downloads/"BUT you can get it as a full version in https://kickass.so or other websites that have full version it. You can easily search at google.
To set this program in ultrafast preset you can see at picture below :
You can see this setting in Bandicam website [at]:
